Corman has received numerous awards of excellence for projects. Some of these awards include:

ARTBA-TDF, 2012 Globe Awards: Intercounty Connector, Contract B, wins First Place for environmental protection and mitigation

Maryland’s Intercounty Connector, Contract B, Corman’s joint venture project with Kiewit and Wagman, was the First Place Winner in the Major Highway (Over $100 Million) category. The American Road & Transportation Builders Association Transportation Development Foundation’s (ARTBA-TDF) 13th annual “Globe Awards” event recognizes transportation construction projects nationwide for their contributions to environmental protection and mitigation.


Cherry Hill Road Extension Bridge Project – Baltimore County, Maryland

The Cherry Hill Road Extension Bridge Project wins County Engineers Association of Maryland Award of Merit for 2012 in the Large Project category.


2012 – Design-Build Lundeberg School  Waterfront Restoration received the 2012 Pile Driving Contractor’s Association (PDCA) Project of the Year Award ($500,000-$2 Million)


Maryland Intercounty Connectory, Contract A, Awarded Engineering News Record’s Best Project of 2011, Northeast Region

One of 98 entries, the project was judged on five criteria: safety, innovation, teamwork, quality, and design. The project, a joint venture comprised of Corman, Granite Construction, and G.A. & F.C. Wagman, now competes against all regional winners for ENR’s Best of the Best Projects of 2011.


Corman wins “The Glass Hammer Award” for 2011

Corman is honored to win “The Glass Hammer Award”, presented annually by The American Road and Transportation Builders Association, ARTBA. “The Glass Hammer” is awarded to to 3 companies in the transportation industry that promote women leaders within their organizations.
