Founded in Washington, D.C., in 1920, as a family-owned asphalt and concrete paving company, Corman Construction has grown to one of the largest heavy civil construction companies in the Mid-Atlantic region. Primarily a paving company for the first fifty years, we operated asphalt plants in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. As the need for larger and more complex infrastructure grew, so did Corman.
Corman today employs over 600 qualified personnel — many of whom have been with the company for decades. Our reputation as one of the leading highway, bridge, utility and marine construction contractors in the Mid-Atlantic region has been built through years of innovative leadership and a commitment to our values set forth 90 years ago.
In addition to our headquarters in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, we operate fully staffed offices in Colonial Heights (Richmond) Virginia and at Corman Marine Construction’s, Inc.’s headquarters in Baltimore, MD.
Corman Construction and Corman Marine Construction are the wholly owned operating subsidiaries of C. G. Enterprises, Inc. C.G. Enterprises, Inc., has been family owned for over 90 years.
